About Round Valley Reservoir
The Round Valley Reservoir (the largest reservoir in NJ) is contained within the Round Valley Recreation area in Lebanon NJ (somtimes mapped as Clinton, NJ). The recreation area allows swimming, boating, boat fishing, shore fishing, ice fishing, picnicking and camping. The reservoir covers over 2,000 acres and is approximately 180 feet deep, the deepest lake in New Jersey. It has a water capacity of 55 billion gallons. Directions to Round Valley Reservoir
Round Valley is located in Clinton NJ and is easily accessible from routes 22, 31, and 78. Click the Google map below for directions.
There are 3 boat launches in the Round Valley Recreation area. The 2 in the fishing parking lots are free for people with a valid fishing license OR boat launch permit. The other boat launch is in the park itself and used only for those overnight camping. It is paid access to that boat ramp.
