  1. heading to round valley next week for my first time and would like some tips on fishing this reservoir any info would be great ill be traviling from south jersey and will be bringing my boat so any tips will be great

  2. call Lebanon Bait and Sport – located on Route 22 west in Lebanon NJ about 3/4 mile East of Round Valley and 1/4 mile East of BagelSmith Deli, they open early and will have THE latest info and bait availability.

You want to use live herring if they have any. (908) 236-9466

  3. thanks went to bait shop they gave us some info bought some herring but had no luck with the lakers caught some small mouths and a few large mouths but no trout bringing down riggers next trip and some spoons that is what we were told bye the people catching fish that day. but we still had a great day fishing the place is beautiful cant wait to get back up there.

  4. well im planning another trip up here in december just what to know how the shore fishing is going? thanks

  5. The water is super low, but if you fish along the shore with a bobber and red or garden worms you will catch brown and rainbow trout. The key is being at the right depth and being there when the trout cruise through.

That second part is pure luck but if you use a couple of rods and a slip bobber, you can find the right depth. start at 8 or ten feet.

  6. heading up on feb 26th is the valley still frozen i plan on bring up the new boat and give it its madian voyage?

  7. thanks for the photos. are we alowed on the lake with boat this time of the year? just curious beings you said the other guys had tickets on there truck.

  8. If the boat launch is clear, you can go any time. Their problem was they didn’t launch from the boatlaunch (presumably given the ice).

  9. well my buddy and i took a ride up to the valley today and i caught my first laker. it was very windy today and hard to stay on the fish but im happy with the one laker i caught and cant wait to go back up.
